dc.description.abstract在本論文中, 我們實作了一套纜線數據系統, 包含Cable Modem與Headend Controller,Bandwidth Allocator與網管程式,及telephone return的解 決方案. 此外, 並提出應用於data over cable的一個全新的medium access control協定 - Group Pipeline Poll-ing ( GPP ). 經由模擬驗 證, GPP與IEEE 802.14所訂的MAC協定有相近的效能, 且具易於實作的優 點. In this thesis, we implement a cable modem system which consists of a cablemodem, a headend controller, a bandwidth allocator, a network management software, and a telephone return solution. In addition, we propose a novelmedium access protocol - Group Pipeline Polling ( GPP ) for the data over cable application. According to simulation result, GPP has similar performanceto IEEE 802.14 MAC protocol, and is much simpler to implement.zh_TW
