dc.description.abstract在多媒体传输的架构中,模组化相当的重要。Direct-Show对于单机上播放多媒体的模组有完善的架构,然而却缺乏一个完整的多媒体传输元件。此外,在此元件的传输部分,自动重传要求并不符合多媒体即时传输的要求,前向错误更正则弥补这项缺陷而且更适用于一对多的传输。
本论文将以Direct-Show的架构为基础,发展一套建构在UDP协定层上的前向错误更正多媒体传输元件,让多媒体系统可以容易地跟本系统结合,由单机的应用转成网路多机互动应用。

dc.description.abstractModelarity is very important in multimedia transmission architecture. Direct-Show defines a mature architecture for playing multimedia on a single machine. However, it lacks a default multimedia transmission component. Besides, in the transmission part of this component, the automatic retransmission request is not suitable for real-time multimedia transmission. Forward error correction is a solution for multimedia communication, and suitable for multicast transmission.
In this paper, we will develop a forward error correction component using UDP protocol based on Direct-Show's architecture such that application programs can be integrated with our system without knowing the details of our system.
