摘要: | 在多天线的系统中,若要提升通讯性能,波束成型(Beamforming)是一个常被使用的作法,传统的波束成型是基地台以扫描的方式,用户再回传最佳的波束方向索引,但此方法会造成较长的延迟和增加回传资讯量。最近,有一个较有效率的方法就被提出,简称为以定位为基础的波束成型,其想法是用户先利用观测到达时间差(Observed Time Difference of Arrival, OTDOA)定位法定出自身位置后,回传所在区域的索引给基地台,基地台再根据此资讯对此方向做波束成型。本论文旨在提升此以定位为基础的波束成型法效能,首先,为了提升OTDOA的定位精准度,我们对旧有的方法提出许多改进的提案,接着将此方法从二维环境延伸至三维环境中,主要想法为利用阵列天线传送LTE/A系统规格里定义的位置参考讯号(PRS)给用户端,此时所传送的PRS是带有方向资讯的,我们提出的方法仅需三个观测基地台即可定出用户的三维座标,模拟结果显示,我们提出的方法可以使系统传输量增加了两倍。最后,我们考虑移动环境中的波束追踪(bean tracking)问题,我们提出两个以卡尔曼滤波器(Kalman filter)为基础的追踪演算法,模拟结果证明使用两种追踪演算法都可以使定位精准度大大的提升。 Beamforming is a commonly used approach to enhance communication performance in multiple-antenna systems. Conventional beamforming relies on a scanning scheme requiring long delay time and heavy overhead. Recently, an effective remedy, referred to as the location-based beamforming, is proposed. In this approach, the user identifies its location with the observed-time-difference-of-arrival (OTDOA) method, reports the region to which it belongs to the BS, and the BS beamforms the signal to that region. This thesis is aimed to enhance the performance of this location-based beamforming method. First, we propose several schemes to improve the localization accuracy of the OTDOA method. Then, we extend the localization method developed for 2D to 3D scenario. The main approach is to transmit directional positioning reference signal (PRS) defined in LTE/A standards to users. With our method, only three BSs are required for the user to locate its position. Simulations show that the proposed method can double the system capacity. Finally, we consider the beam tracking problem in mobile environments. We proposed two Kalman-filter-based tracking algorithms. Numerical results show that both algorithms can greatly enhance the localization performance. |
